The Brookline Havurah Minyan is an egalitarian Jewish, creative, member-led worship community based in the Brookline and Newton, Massachusetts area.  We have gathered since 1980 to celebrate Shabbat, holidays, life cycle events, and special communal activities.  We place a strong emphasis on community.
As a volunteer-run group, members organize and lead all aspects of services and other events throughout the year.  A volunteer va’ad assures continuity in the group’s affairs. We meet in members homes for Shabbat and in rented space for the High Holidays and special occasions.
Crop-Torah Mantle[1]

Our Torah mantle was created by members of the minyan. Each leaf on the Eytz Chayim was made from a fabric of particular significance in the life of that minyan member.
