COMMUNITY
The Brookline Havurah Minyan values our strong community and the relationships it nurtures. Member households include singles and couples, adults and children, with some who have affiliated since the early 1980’s. New members are always welcome.
We gather throughout the year to celebrate holidays and share meals at every Shabbat gathering. We take special pride in our community effort for the observance of family life cycle events – from bar and bat mitzvah to comforting the mourner.
One example of our creative community is our magnificent torah cover, pictured on this website. Designed and crafted by members, the eitz chayim design is composed of fabric pieces contributed by all member households.
The Brookline Havurah Minyan values its relation with the greater Boston Jewish community and is affiliated with the Synagogue Council of Massachusetts and with the Community Hevra Kadisha of Greater Boston.
